Why all the Breeding Ban laws? Dog people are a very passionate group. They will do anything to protect their dogs. Many breeders and Dog organizations, such as the AKC and BTCA are clueless as to what is happening or at least how to react to it. These laws have nothing to do with breeders being responsible or irresponsible. It is a way for our government to extract money from you. Cities like Dallas Texas have figured out people will pay NOT to spaying or neutering their dogs. So initially “frighten law” are proposed, and then notice how they are later watered down to just paying 100 dollars (your amount may vary) and you can keep your dog intact . Some AKC and BTCA members produce an extraordinary volume of puppies; these laws will help reduce their numbers because they will not be able to afford to keep their 10 to 20 stud dogs and their Breeding Bitches intact. Puppy mills in general will be hurt. Since the AKC, BTCA and you can’t seem to get a handle on over breeding and other health issues, your friendly government will. Personally, I hope my owner keeps me intact, so I can add a few litters to the SPCA’s already growing population. Thanks,
